Saint Francis began the women's basketball season barely on the national radar, however, eight consecutive victories to open the season has changed that.
The Cougars have climbed from 25th in the preseason NAIA Division II poll to ninth this week.
Junior guard Skylarr Shurn has paced Saint Francis early this season with a 15 point per game average.
Saint Francis will open their home schedule today at 7 p.m. against Crossroads League foe Spring Arbor at 7 p.m. at the Hutzell Athletic Center.
