Four seniors, a junior and a sophomore have been recognized as IBCA/Subway Players of the Week, including a Homestead standout.

A trio of seniors -- Angola's Simon Brown, Hamilton Southeastern's Zak Irvin and Loogootee's Conner Wittmer -- swept the boys' awards presented for Nov. 19-24 by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association to athletes from each of the three IHSAA districts.

Homestead junior Sydney Buck, Frankton senior Kelsey Key and Columbus North sophomore Ali Patberg collected girls' accolades for the same span.

Brown poured in 34 points in leading Angola to a 59-56 season-opening victory over Wawasee for the boys' District 1 award. The sharp-shooting guard made two 3-pointers en route to his big outburst for the Hornets.
