ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Music apparently moved an aspiring Grand Rapids area rapper to steal a school bus and rumble toward Motown to do some recording.

Josiah Curtis got as far as Washtenaw County where his erratic driving on Interstate 94 drew the attention of other motorists who contacted authorities.

The Detroit News says Curtis was stopped about 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving on eastbound I-94 near Ann Arbor.

Sheriff's Sgt. Geoffrey Fox says the 25-year-old Curtis told deputies "he was headed to Detroit to work on some music."

MLive.com reports the bus was taken from a lot in Wyoming, southwest of Grand Rapids. It says several other buses were damaged.

Curtis is being held on a receiving and concealing stolen property. He's due back in court Tuesday.
