The Halloran family from Fort Wayne will compete on “Family Feud” when the game show begins its new season Monday.
Many people here may not be able to see the syndicated game show, however, because it isn't carried by television stations in the Fort Wayne market.
The closest stations airing the show are WBND, Channel 57, in South Bend, and WNDY, Channel 23.1 in Indianapolis, a show news release said. WBND airs the show at 3 and 3:30 p.m. Monday, and WNDY airs it at 9 a.m., the stations' websites state.
The South Bend station may be within range of some local viewers, especially those living north of the Fort Wayne city limits.
The Hallorans will compete against the Webb family from Charleston, S.C., for a chance to win up to $100,000 and a new car, the news release said. Steve Harvey serves as “Family Feud” host.
Members of the Halloran family team are Jen, a nurse; husband John, a manager of quarries; brother-in-law Anthony, a quarry repairman; sister-in-law Shawn, an HR consultant; and sister Gina, a teacher's aide, the news release said.
“We originally auditioned for 'Family Feud' years ago, and we did a follow-up audition in Schaumberg (Ill.) earlier this year, and we had a ball doing it all again,” John was quoted as saying in the news release. “We love to play the game so much. We just want to make a respectable showing on national television.”
